Hi! My name is Kathryn Florack. I am completely grateful and happy to continue my second year  as the Camp Henry Director! I graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2010 and was blessed to spend the next few years working and exploring around the US. More recently, for roughly two years, I was the youth director at Ascension in Hickory, NC, which is where I live now. When I’m not hanging out with my family or playing Pocahontas (which involves running in the woods while singing ‘Just Around the Riverbend’), I focus on my big goals of saving the world and finding stardom on ‘Survivor’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Other interests include travel, friends and family, snowboarding, music, exclamation points, the enneagram, ultimate frisbee, push-ups, and being outside as much as possible. None of this would have been possible without Camp Henry and Lake Logan; I have had the unbelievable fortune of attending Camp Henry ever since I was eleven years old, and after many years, being a camper, counselor, associate director, I am so very honored and excited to continue this journey. Before I became the Director of Camp Henry, I also had the wonderful opportunity to work on the Conference Center side, working at Lake Logan during the non-summer months, which allowed me to share the spiritually “thin” place with people of all ages while enjoying the amazing property year round. This is a place that teaches you how to laugh so hard you cry, about the power of unconditional love, how to make friendships that last a lifetime, about the consequences of singing and playing all day, about the wonder of God, and how to appreciate all the beauty that life has to offer. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your community. I can’t wait for you to join us! I look forward to going on this beautiful adventure with you all!

Greetings!! My name is Jenna Sharrits. I am extremely excited to be serving as the Assistant Director this summer!! I am a student at the University of North Carolina Asheville, majoring in Health and Wellness Promotion with a minor in Religious Studies, and the current president of the Episcopal campus ministry Canterbury at UNCA. During the school year I work as the assistant children and youth minister at Trinity Episcopal downtown Asheville. Some of the things I love are raccoons, Disney movies, watching Food Network, running, being in nature, laughing and of course Camp Henry! Camp Henry has made me into the person I am today, teaching me to love unconditional, to grow as a leader, to want adventure, and to grow in my faith. I hope to share this with the next generation of camp goers. Can't wait to share a magical summer with all of you! Welcome to the camp community!

Hello friends of Camp Henry! My name is J.T. Rhoades, and I am super excited to return to Camp Henry this summer as the CHOS Assistant Director. I am an Asheville native and have been privileged to be a Camp Henry counselor, CHOS instructor and camper for nine summers. While continuing my education in Outdoor Leadership, I’ve worked as a cook at a few local Asheville restaurants, helped operate a compost facility and as a studio assistant for a woodworker, but nothing makes me happier than spending a summer at Camp Henry and sharing my passion for the outdoors with you!  In my free time - if I have any - you can find me on the river in my kayak or on the trail on my bike!  See you at camp!

Hello my friends, I’m Spencer, and I’m super excited to come back to camp as a CHOS instructor! Got married last summer to an amazing woman named Caroline. We have been living in Boone area. I have been working at Holy Cross Episcopal as the youth director. I also have been doing fun thing outside such as hiking, running, playing with the dog and skiing. Life is good, and camp is great! See you in the woods this summer.

Hello all! My name is Caroline Sharrits, and I’m currently in the graduate nutrition program at Appalachian State University to become a Registered Dietitian. My husband, Spencer, and I live in Valle Crucis with our sweet big pup, Loki. I’ve been a counselor at Camp Henry in the past, but I am excited to come back as a CHOS instructor! In my free time, I enjoy cooking, drinking tea, doing aerial silks, hiking/walking, climbing, running (sometimes), and doing crafts. My favorite color is blue, and my spirit animal is a chipmunk. I cannot wait to be a CHOS instructor this year and spend the summer with you all enjoying the wonderful outdoors!

Hello friends!!! I am so excited to meet new and reconnect with old ones this summer. My name is Caitlin McVay, and this will be my second year at Camp Henry, but I am no stranger to the summer camp world. I feel so blessed and grateful to say that I will be one of the LAMP Coordinators this year. By the time camp rolls around I will be a proud graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS in Recreation Management and a minor in Religious Studies. When I'm not loving on any dog I see [this lovable pooch belongs to a girl on her way to reaching 100 Boojum sightings ;)] I love to splash around in God's amazing creation [preferably barefoot], hike to amazing summits, harmonize til my voice is hoarse, read a book, go contra dancing, stare at the moon, love on giraffes, have real conversations, and most of all love on all the people [campers especially] I am blessed to cross paths with. Camp Henry is a place to heal, learn how to accept the amazingly unconditional love of God, and create relationships that help you through whatever life throws your way. I can't wait to start this new journey with all of you!!!

Hey everyone! My name is Ben Webber and I am very blessed to say that this year I will be returning to camp as one of the LAMP Coordinators!! This coming fall I will be a Junior at NC State University, GO PACK, majoring in Industrial Design and minoring in Environmental Science. Other than spending time at my studio desk, I am an audio editor for a literary and arts publication, I work with engineers on designing an autonomous vehicle, I am apart of the Climate Reality Corps club, and I work part time at McConnell Studios where we build some really awesome metal art! In the little free time I have, I really enjoy listening to music and hanging out with my friends. I am really looking forward to the food, the singing, and all the awesome skills, including bridge ball! I can't wait to spend my summer up in the beautiful mountain air with all of you, see you soon!

Hi there!! My name is Leah Wilson, and BOY am I excited to be returning for my second year on staff as one of your program coordinators! This fall I will be starting my junior year at Appalachian State as a cultural anthropology major with a Spanish minor. I really love handmade bar soap, fish and chips, kayaking, poetry, and yoga. When I am not swooning over these things, I work as the youth director at St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church in Blowing Rock!  I am so lucky to live and work in a place surrounded by nature and all her comforting goodness! This summer is going to be one for the books. Camp Henry is my favorite place on this whole earth (I haven't been everywhere but it’s pretty tough to beat this place)! I can't wait to see all of your bright shining faces and spend some time lovin', laughin', and singin' :)

Hello! My name is Sarah Anne Lazorik, and I am very excited and proud to be Camp Henry’s new Media Specialist! I am thrilled to capture the amazing moments and memories created this summer. At 12 years old, I became a camper, and now I am delighted to make new experiences with this year’s campers. This spring, I will graduate from North Lincoln High School and will attend Appalachian State University in the fall, with an intended major in Commercial Photography. I have grown up on Lake Norman and spend every second in the water. Some things I enjoy are wake-surfing, surfing, cooking, movies, and, my favorite, napping. You can usually catch me smiling, singing, laughing, or making jokes. My favorite part about camp is dodgeball, so don’t be surprised when you see me proudly dressed in my goofiest clothes throwing wicked curve balls. Another love of mine about camp was the video slideshows at the end of the week, so I am extremely excited to be creating those for campers to bring home and share the fun adventures they had. I am very approachable and can’t wait to build new relationships with campers and staff members!  Get ready for your greatest summer yet!

What's up Camp Henry, my name is Gus Williams! I was born and raised in Pinehurst, North Carolina, where the soil is sandy, the BBQ is vinegary, and there is golf aplenty. Though my place of upbringing is a far cry from Western NC, I've considered these mountains my home since I first showed up to camp way back in aught five, and I'm super excited to be back at Lake Logan for my first year on staff. I graduated high school in 2016 and I'm currently on a gap year, though I'll be attending Tri-County Technical College near Clemson in the fall where I will be working to transfer into Clemson all while playing for the Clemson rugby team. My hobbies and interests include making music, listening to the lovely Ludwig Van, backgammon matches with the Boojum and cultivating bonsai trees! It's gonna be one heaping heck of a summer, so I can't wait to see y'all there!

Hey Camp Henry!!  My name is Georgia Mitchell and I am so excited to work on staff this summer!  It's been my dream since I first became a camper ten years ago.  Camp Henry is my favorite place in the world and I cannot wait to meet all of you! I am currently a freshman at Sewanee:  The University of the South in Tennessee where I plan to major in psychology and minor in Spanish.  I grew up in the best state in the world - you guessed it, North Carolina, where I spent most of my childhood in Hickory and attended my last two years of high school in Asheville.  My passions include Birkenstocks, puppies, and coffee.  My favorite thing about camp is the nature, and I can't wait to swim in Lake Logan and run around in the woods this summer!  Can't wait to meet all of you and have the best summer ever!!

Hey, my name is Nathan Turner, I am 18 years old, and I am from Cashiers NC. I have been at Camp Henry each year since I was 6, and it has always been the highlight of my summer. I love the outdoors and spend as much of my time there as I can. I have grown up with three sisters, and being the only son I have learned to be very patient and forgiving.  I am very excited to be a counselor for the first time, and I can't wait to grow with campers and staff members. I hope everyone is just as excited about this amazing summer as I am. See you this summer!

Hola todos!! My name is Lindsey Warburton! I grew up in a small town called in Western NC called Marion, and now I’m about to graduate in May from UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels!!). I will be receiving a degree in Global Studies and a degree in Spanish literatures and cultures. Unfortunately, graduation does mean that the helmet you see pictured must go into retirement, but metaphorically, it will live on forever. Besides metaphors, I enjoy being outside, taking naps, eating pizza(s), making jokes, learning new things, playing soccer, and Camp Henry! My favorite camp activities are singing and dancing in the morning and searching for the ever elusive Boojum. Without a doubt, the best part of camp though is the amount of unconditional love and community that we all share. I can’t wait for you all a part of it, and in the meantime, I’ll be listening to Eye of the Tiger on repeat in preparation for the BEST summer ever!

Hey everybody! My name is Henry Chandler, and I could not be more excited to be working at camp this summer. I live in Asheville, NC and attend Trinity Episcopal Church in Downtown Asheville. I have been going to Camp Henry from the minute they let me in and have only dreamed of the day that I could be a counselor. Well, that day has finally come, and I am so excited to sing, laugh, and dance with everyone who comes to camp. Some of my interests are being outside, collecting Hawaiian shirts, all sports (especially the one with a ball and a bat), hanging with friends (while meeting strangers), and playing games. One of the greatest things I have learned from going to camp is the significance of unconditional love, and I can’t wait to give that back to the Camp Henry community. Hope you have a great rest of the school year, and I can’t wait to start the best summer ever!!

Hey guys! My name is Angie Nardini. I'm from good old Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Being a Camp Henry counselor has been my dream since I was a small little tater tot, 9 years ago, when I first came to camp. Now it's finally coming true! I will be a freshman in college this fall, and I will be studying apparel design. I love anything that is pink or sparkly, and I enjoy the sunshine and being a princess. I love singing and dancing around the room and bumping to the Jonas Brothers. My favorite camp activity is either swimming/kayaking or plunging toilets. I'm supercalifragilisticextra super excited to have a great summer!!! :-)

Hello! My name is Austin Arditti, but sometimes they call me "Turkey Bacon!" I have attended Camp Henry ever since I was little guy. Being a camp counselor at Camp Henry has always been my dream. Thankfully, my dream did come true, and this will be my third year on staff this summer! I am so excited to be back! I love Camp Henry because it has always had a positive impact on my life. Camp Henry has helped me become the person I am today. You will find out that I love to laugh, be funny, be a leader, and play music a lot! I don't just go back to Camp Henry for the scenery, but I go back for God, the amazing people, and the music. I also always love seeing all of the joy in everyone's faces as we play games, sing songs, and worship God. I am currently a junior at Mars Hill University majoring in Social Working. Growing up, I have always wanted to help people and write awesome music too. I have also always had an admiration for the beautiful nature that God has given us. Especially for places like Camp Henry! In conclusion, I simply cannot wait to be back on be best place on earth!

Hi! My name is Elizabeth Woodcock, and this will be my first year at Camp Henry as a counselor! I first started going to camp when I was in fourth grade in 2004. I absolutely fell in love with camp! It was always a dream of mine to finally become a camp counselor someday! I grew up in Hendersonville, and attended West Henderson High School. I currently live in Leicester. Some of my favorite things in the world are unicorns, Elsa, Disney movies, and donuts. My family and I have four dogs, and two pigs that I fell in love with!!! I absolutely cannot wait to meet everyone, and have the best summer ever!!!

Hi, I'm Davon; people call me Von for short. I'm 17 years old. I am currently attending Asheville High School and will be graduating in June. I enjoy dancing and various forms of spoken word. I recently began making my own music, and I would say it’s going pretty swell. I'm very ecstatic about being a counselor at Camp Henry. I can honestly say that this has always been my dream job. I'm very much looking forward to being my true self in a place I call my safe haven. I can’t stress enough how important it is to make my youth happy and loving towards themselves and others. I cannot wait to get started. This upcoming summer is going to be crazy, but it’s just the beginning. Many more years to come I can see it already!

Hi camp family!  Elizabeth here and I am so excited to be back at camp for my third year as a counselor. I’m a junior at Furman University, and I am focusing on music and elementary education as my majors. This will be my twelfth summer at Camp Henry (I think I’m losing count) and this summer is going to be the best one yet! Camp has brought me life-long friends, and has taught me how to love unconditionally, to see good in everyone, and of course, how to let loose and have fun! I can’t wait to see all of your shining faces, old and new, and for you to have some of the wonderful experiences that I hold so dearly. See you soon!

Hey everyone! My name is Robert Townsend, and I'm from Asheville, North Carolina. This will be my 12th year at Camp Henry and my first year as a counselor, and I am super excited! Being a camp counselor has been one of my dream jobs since I was a wee lad. I am currently a student at Warren Wilson College and will be going into my junior year this coming fall. I'm currently a double major in Biology and Forestry, and I work on the Forestry Crew. I am also on the school's Timbersports team. In my free time I enjoy playing my banjo and other instruments with friends, contra dancing, fishing, hiking, archery, carving spoons, and nerding/geeking out over things like Star Trek, Star Wars, and scientific discoveries! Anyways, I am super excited to get to see old and new faces alike, and I can't wait to be back at camp!

Hey y’all! It’s your girl, Rebecca! I’m returning for my third year on staff and 12th year at Camp Henry. Probably my biggest goal for this summer is to see the Boojum for my 100th time. I’ve been lucky enough to get approximately 99 sightings in my 12 years at camp, and I think this year will finally round me up to the big 100! I hope to share my luck with the Boojum with you all and help you to create some life-long memories. Camp has taught me how to be the person that I am today and how to approach my life with unconditional love and kindness. I’ve been told that my aura radiates my favorite color, which is yellow. I am a current junior at UNC Asheville. I’ve created my own interdisciplinary major in Ethics and Social Institutions with the goal of going into community outreach work. Camp has taught me how to contribute to make the world a better place, and I am so excited to embark on the wonderful journey that will be this summer with you!! I’ll see you there!!

What’s up y’all! My names is Luke Bleynat, and I am very excited to be returning to Camp Henry for my second year on staff. I was born and raised in Asheville, graduated from Asheville School last year, and am a student at Centre College. I have attended Camp Henry every summer since the first time I was old enough, with this year marking my thirteenth summer. Saying that Camp Henry is my favorite place in the world, while true, does not do justice to how much it has meant to me since the first time I arrived at Lake Logan, and I am excited for another great summer! My hobbies include hiking, taking intramural sports way too seriously, and yelling at the TV when my favorite football or basketball teams are playing. My favorites parts of camp include campfires, night games, boojum hunts, and, of course, poopy-sleep time. I cannot wait to meet all of you and get the summer started.  See you soon!

Hi! I’m Janet, and I’m so excited to be joining everyone for my first year on staff! I’ve been coming to camp for about ten years now and being a counselor was one of my first long-term life goals. I’m from Elkin, North Carolina, and I’m currently studying Creative Writing and International Studies at Hollins University in Roanoke. I really enjoy good books, craft projects, hiking, the occasional adventure, and Camp Henry! It would be nearly impossible to decide on just one favorite camp activity (although the quest for the Boojum is always a contender), but I can easily say that one of my favorite things about Camp is the unconditional love and happy, song-singing family that I have there. Once again, I’m so excited for this summer!

Welcome to camp everyone! My name is Jesse Neumann, but I really appreciate when people refer to me as "J". I am a sophomore at Appalachian State University studying Environmental Physics and Spanish. This will be my second year on camp staff, and I am so excited to see you all again and meet those of you who may be coming for the first time! My favorite hobbies include running, swimming, discovering new music, watching the moon, enjoying the heat of the sun, and dancing wildly—all of which I am looking forward to doing with you! My current food of choice is peanut butter, but I am open to all types of nut butters! All things green bring me happiness: the color itself, grass, trees, the Boojum, and the Camp Henry logo. I cannot wait to share all the wonderful experiences of camp with you, so you better be prepared! Until then, I’ll be dreaming of morning dancing and singing, sunny days on the lake, and new lifelong friendships!

"What’s crackin, Boojums!? I’m Leah Stockdale and I might be your counselor! I am the youngest of 5 wacky siblings and an aunt to 3 adorable nieces, so I’m lucky to live a life around people I love! I study International Business and Chinese in the beautiful mountains of Boone, NC at App State. When I’m not poopy-sleep-timing at camp, I’m rolling in the mud, splashing around in Lake Logan, or trying to make you laugh. I prefer Birkenstocks over Chacos and rainy days over sunny days. Camp Henry has always left my soul feeling refreshed and loving every person I meet. I would like to personally welcome you to the greatest, most hilarious, and most spiritually fulfilling few days of your young life. Welcome to the wonderful world of Camp Henry!"

Hey y’all, my name is Carson Hart and I am from Hickory, North Carolina. I am ecstatic to continue the Hickory Dynasty this summer as this will be my ninth year at Camp Henry and my first year on staff. I just completed my freshman year at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and am planning on majoring in Wumbology, the study of Wumbo.  When I’m not singing Disney songs in the shower or looking for narwhals in Lake Logan, I enjoy listening to classic rock, playing soccer, the Great Outdoors, and dodging balls.  My favorite camp activities include singing grace, being a member of the clean plate club, and poopy-sleeping.  I cannot wait to exchange the unconditional love that is ever-present throughout Camp Henry all summer long! Sail Forth!
